Happy New Year From The Heart

I created this double pocket card for The Just Us Girls, JUGS13 challenge. You are to use a template and the color blue, I used turquoise blue I hop that counts. You can see the tutorial over at SCS, or click here. This also fits The Play Date Color Challenge #10, these colors are gorgeous together. It also fits a new color challenge I found today, it is called Color Q, CQC13. I barely used brown, it is in my tree; I guess that counts. Finally, it is also fo the Ippity Challenge, IHHC4 to "resolve" to try something new and for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, ssnotime120 also "new" . The stamps are new and the double pocket card was new for me. I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

I hope you can reflect on the past year and have memories of those times. I also hope that you will have many more moments like that in the coming year.
The flower and passage is from the Verve set Beautiful You. Today s the last day to get your Verve stamps on sale, prices are phenomenal Plain Janes are only $2.......that is a big WOW! 20% to 50% off and Plain

All I can say is......Woowee....we have gotten so much snow. The pictures in the post under this one, does not tell the story tonight, it snowed for over 26 hours here. I will have more pictures tomorrow after it is daylight. We do not have church tomorrow; dh and I, along with our dog Jessie will be digging us out......that will be fun! This is one of the biggest snows I have ever seen....I do luv it though. Everything is cancelled and shut down.

For my card I used the Clean & Simple Sketch #72 and the Embellish Color Challenge. I used the embossing folder I got from HSN on the top portion of my card, the chocolate dp is older SU. Dashing Through The Snow

WOW, have we gotten the snow....here in my part of Virginia, we are well over 2 foot of snow.....it gives "dashing through the snow" a whole new meaning. I used Amber's sketch and flipped it, I also used today's IC211. I was inspired by snow....lol. Any card with snow in it could have been my inspiration.......if you luv snow this is the place to be. I am so luvin it, we don't have to go anywhere and I am thrilled. A pot of chicken and rice soup is planned for today and we are in. The small tree in the picture is on our front covered porch, as you can see it is covered with snow. The 6 or 7 inches we had a couple of weeks ago can be seen in this photo here. It has been snowing for 20 hours non stop. I hope you have a wonderful day...we are thrilled with the snow. I pray everyone stays safe. Details on my card are below, lots of the elements can be found at Hope Stamps Eternal, check out the links below for each item. Enjoy!

Goddies Just For You

I created this goodie box for today's WT249, to use a favorite recipe and make your project around that. One of my all time favorite goodies at Christmas is fudge, I like to make giving fudge a little special by wrapping each piece in saran wrap. I made one of the new boxes I learned how to make from my friend Kim. I cannot stress enough how super simple these boxes are and how sturdy they are after completion. If you haven' made one, try it...the instructions are here.
I soooo excited today starts my long break from work, I don't go back until Jan. 4, my girlfriend Kim and I are getting together tomorrow night to make lots of Christmas goodies. We will also be making these boxes to package the goodies in for gift giving.

2tsp. vanilla

Melt the chocolate and eagle brand milk in microwave until smooth, add nuts and vanilla. Pour into a 8 inch square pan lined with foil. Refrigerate unitl firm, cut into squares and if you please wrap each one in saran wrap for a special gift!
