Purple Flowers For You

I created this for several challenges Stacey's Jewlery challenge #34 and for the Dirty Dozen Challenges for April. The theme for the Dirty Dozen challenges is going green, there is a picture of an open field to be inspired by and I usually think flowers when I think of the great outdoors. This card is the smaller note cards that are sold on pg208 in the SU cattie. They measure 2 3/4 x 3 7/8, great size to include in a gift. I only stamped the sentiment, the flower and the leaves are SU dies ran through the CB. The flowers are layered five times to give them depth and fullness. I used the basic grey courduroy brads for the center. Very simple, but yet very cute.....I hope you enjoy your evening!

Pure Heart

Good mojo Monday morning everyone, I hope you are sportin your mojo today. This was the tuffest mojo sketch for me so far. I decided to go heavy on the left side with copic colored flowers. I am really having fun coloring with my copics, I hope I get better as I go. I added chocolate pearls from Kaiser to the center of each flower. I used chocolate and baja breeze, two colors you can't go wrong using. I wanted to use the dp on the top panel, I bought it while in PA with the Sweet 'N Sassy DT. It matches the baja breeze perfectly. I sponged the main panel with chocolate and used one of the Plain Janes from Verve. I also used the wide baja ribbon for the middle section. I used my Janome to sew both the top and bottom panels, I decided to use a wiggly stiching design. I wanted it to have the "out of the box look". I can't wait to see what you come up with this week. Be sure to check out the other mojo makers creations on the Mojo Monday Blog. Enjoy your day!

FS116 Congratulations Kathy

I created this card for the weeks FS116, Kathy; her work is soooo amazing, soooo elegant, and soooo beautiful! You must check out her style, I chose a combo of two cards to work with today. I liked the colors and elegance of her card Just Rite Elegnace and the stamps she used in the circle nestie of her card Prayers and Pearls.
My card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square, I have been making lots of cards lately this size, it is such an adorable size and perfect for someone to display on thier desk, dresser, or kitchen windowsill. I am having a hard to finding 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square envies, I could use your help. If you know where or see where I can get them I would luv to know. You can PM me at SCS under va.sunshine, I would be thrilled to find them, thanks for your help.
I used two different stamp sets from SU, added sponging to the main circle, and this fancy dp is from Boo Bunny. I added ultra mini pearls to the flowers and a row of pearls at the top right. It is always fun to play the FS challenge, I hope you can make time to play and make Kathy's day. Enjoy your evening!
One more thing, yesterday Korin from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps added a new sketch blog to all the sweet stuff us girls have for you. Check out the Sweet Stop Blog, Korin has a great sketch for you to try, I hope you can play along and be apart of the sweet stuff! Load your card to Mr Linky on the Sweet Stop Blog and if you load it to SCS use the keywords SSS01. You can check my blog Tuesday morning to see my card.

Kleenex Inspired

I created this for todays IC177, over at SCS. Todays inspirations was Kleenex boxes, they really have some pretty boxes, don't they? I chose this mutli colored blue one, using pacific point, bashful blue, and a tiny hint of green. I used two different Verve sets for this one. My card seems a bit busy, but so does the tissue box. I think they are both pretty. I also tried to use shading with my copics on the center flower, I do not have alot of the "B" colors, so it is barely noticeable, I am working on it though. I hope you have time today to get outside and enjoy the weather, it is suppose to be almost 90 degrees here in VA. Sounds like a motorcycle ride, dh and I are planning a few hours of riding. We will get something to eat and grab ice cream at one of favorite ice cream trailers. I luv the Strawberry Shortcake, what about you? Enjoy your day.

Korin and Janette from SNSS try to help me with my copic coloring on our retreat last weekend. I have come to the conclusion that it takes lots of practice, at least for me it will takes lots of practice. I hope you have time to play along.

I'm Back from PA!

Hello, everyone, wow has it been a fabulous weekend. I am honored to have met Courtney, Janette, and Korin from SNSS. We had a wonderful time and I praise God for bringing us together. I am very tired, so I am keeping this one short. Us girls where up very late and up very early stamping, shopping and laughing the days away!
I am so very honored to share this next subject with you, this is the honor above all honors to me. I am thrilled to tell you that Diane from Women To Women: Sharing Christ has blessed me with this fabulous blog award. This is the first time they have given the award, so I am honored to be in this group. I am going to list my choices in the next day or two. The Exalting Christ Blog Award states the following:
The Exalting Christ blog award is given to bloggers who consistently exalt the name of Christ on their blogs. What a joy to see crafters blend their passion for Christ and papercrafting. This award is given to bloggers who share Christ through their posts or through the design of their artwork. We are commanded in Scripture to be "salt and light" sharing the Good News of Jesus no matter where we are (Matthew 5:13-16). This award is just a way members of Women to Women: Sharing Jesus can say thanks for exalting Christ with us!

I thank Diane for this award and I give praise to God that I am able to share Jesus through my creations with others! Enjoy your day and be a blessing to others!

I am totally thrilled to bring you this card that is highlighting the new Verve release that will be available Friday, the 17 at 9:00pm here. You can catch my card and the Verve diva's sneak peaks on the Verve Blog. This set is from the set called Wishful Elegance, I must say these sets are some of my favorite maybe being the guest diva for Verve might have something to do with it, ya think? I used the stems for the flowers from an older Verve set called Thankful Blossoms. The flower blooms I stamped and cut out and lifted them up with glue dots.
I luv sewing on my cards since I got my Janome mini sewing machine. It only takes a snap to sew on the card layers. I hope you can make the Verve release and check out the new stamp sets. Enjoy your day.

Good mojo Monday morning, this is going to be an exciting week. The Verve sneak peaks will start tomorrow on the Verve Blog and I am the guest diva. I hope you have time to stop by and check out the fabulous new sets. This weeks sketch is great for spotlighting a favorite stamp or a sentiment with several lines. I used the flower blooms from the Meditations set, I colored them and then covered them completely with SU crystal effects to give them the shiny look that pops! I used SU kraft polka dotted dp with black and riding hood red. This weeks card is super simple, but I luv the look of the shiny flowers against the kraft dp. Colorful Outdoor Bench

Good Saturday morning, it is cold and rainy here today. This card is based on todays IC175 over at SCS, inspiration challenges are in my top three favorite challenges. I luv the outdoor bench seen in the photo. I am a sunshine kinda girl, do you think you could have figured that out on your own....hehehehe. Sunrooms, being outside, and outdoor furniture are inspiring to me. We do not have a sunrrom, but I really want one, they are the best room in a house. I was drwan to the outdoor stuff on the site today, you can see it here GrandinRoad. I used the flower from the Verve set Everlasting Life, I used riding hood red, tangerine tango, and kiwi kiss. They go nicely together. I did some scoring, scalloped the edge of the main panel, and nested the sentiment with circle punches. Very simple, yet very pretty.
Dh and I had a fabulous time in Richmond yesterday. We went to the Cheescake Factory......yummy, I had the Carrot Cake Cheesecake and dh had the Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheescake. I could not eat all of mine, I had to bring it home....not to worry I finished it off last night....hehehehe. We also discovered this fabulous store called C28, it is a Christian Retailer. They sale t-shirts, jewelry, and music. It was really awesome young people are working in the store and sharing the gospel of Jesus. They young man that waited on us was on fire for Jesus, before we left the store he asked if we had any prayer concerns that he could pray for. Dh and I where deeply touched. The C28 stands for Colossians 2:8, the founder of the store was impacted by this verse and chose it to be the name of his store. Have a blessed Easter weekend....enjoy!
