Be Still

Good Monday morning, wow where does the weekend go? I am not sure about you, but I would like to see the work week be only two days and the weekends be five, now that is a great idea.....hehehehe. Well, one good thing about Monday's is the Mojo Monday Sketch, this sketch had me really pulling out the mojo. Since this one was a bit tricky for me I decided to use ribbon with accents in place of the squares. I ran a piece of card stock through the CB with a flower folder, punched out the butterfly and photo corner and I then sponged it very lightly, adding Kaiser Craft pearls. I even added pearls to the photo corner in the center of the flowers. I stamped the tree from the Up Up and Away set in light pink in the main image circle and then stamped the verse Psalm 46:10 next to it. I cut it out using the circle nesties and sponged. I added a button and Kaiser Craft pearls down the side. I hope you make time to play with us this week, be sure to check out the fantastic creations the other mojo makers created over at the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog.

Congratulations Darlene

I created this for today's FS134, Darlene; you can see here gallery here. I wanted to use Mercy's sktch, so I picked a card that had a similiar layout to case. I chose the one here with the polka dotted dp. I kept the polka dotted theme added some sewing, and a white ribbon bow. I used three different Verve sets for this one. I luv the new background set from Verve called Bountiful Backgrounds, I used the polka dots and line to separate the sentiment from the main flower image. The flower image is from the set called Budding Blossoms and the sentiment is Petals and Stems. I used copics to color the flower image. This is also for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch MTSC36, check it out and play along. Our church had church in our local park today, it is always a blessing to worship outside under the beautiful sky. Dh and I are taking a motorcycle ride to enjoy the sunshine! I hope you have a wonderful day.

Out Of My Comfort Zone

This is for Taylor's Sketch Challenge TESC80. I also made this for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge ssnotime102, to made a card creation out of your comfort zone. Boy, was this hard, I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to give up and start over...lol. First, it took me forever to decide what to do that was out of my comfort zone, none of us like working out of our guidelines. I finally decide on using colors such as Bold Brights, which I never use, they are not my favorite color family. This dp was given to me and I figured I would never use it, thanks Sharon for helping me to use some of my stash.....lol. I used my Verve stamps set Fluttering By and made this a fun card, I also used a rub-on for the sentiment which I rarely use. I hope you like my bold bright creation, enjoy!

I added some sewing and silky ribbon, this is an older dp from SU. I hope you can play along and be sure to check out the other DT's take on this sketche, you can go to the Sweet Stop Blog to gaze and comment. Have a blessed day!

I used lots of rounds, the background, the flowers, the sentiment circle, and of course the big pearls. I used Verve stamps sets Budding Blossoms and Circular Sayings. I used a variety of dp to mimic the towel hanging in the photo. I hope you like my take on the IC and the sketch, enjoy your Saturday and make time for family this weekend!

I used the new SU dp called Thoroughly Modern, I really luv these colors together.....simply gorgeous. Gorgeous, dp, a little sewing, and a beautiful scripture what more could you ask for in a card. All The Goodness Of Life

Hello everyone, this is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I have been wanting to give it a try since she brought it back a couple of weeks ago. I used my new Verve sets for this one, luv the coffee set, great sentiments come with this one. I used Verve Bountiful Background too, I really luv these background stamps, that add so much to a card. You can create you own dp with these stamps. I added stitching to the center and pearls on the scallops. There is also glitter on the darker brown stripes of the cup, I am not sure if you can tell, it looks really pretty IRL. I also heat embossed the steam and the coffee, so they are both a little shiny. I added a Memory Makers brad to the button to snaze it up a bit, too. Enjoy your evening!

Coffee & Friends

Good Mojo Monday morning, it is time for another mojo sketch. Did we have some fabulous sketches from the mojo makers last week or what? If you did not have time to play be sure to save the sketches for future use.
For today's card I used the new SU DP called Thoroughly Modern, I so luv this paper, it is gorgeous. I used Prism solid color card stock. I have added a list of some of the SU colors that match Prism papers to my blog. The list is down the left hand about half way down. I hope you can make use of the list, I will add others has I learn what they are. I do not have the color that matches SU rose red, so I add to use SU rose red. But, the SU Bermuda Bay matches Prism Vibrant Teal B559-E and Soft Suede matches Suede Brown Medium BR291-D. I used my new Verve set Bountiful Backgrounds and Delightful & Delicious. The backgrounds stamps are awesome, they are a perfect size for making beautiful backgrounds. I stamped the sentiment and coffee mug in SU Bermuda Bay and then I stamped it again in SU Rose Red and cut out the word coffee and layered it. I added a ribbon tag and a few Kaiser Craft Pearls. I hope you make time to play with the Mojo makers with this weeks fabulous sketch.

Congratulations Joanne

I created this fabulous color combo card for today's FS133, Joanne. If you visit her gallery it will not take long to figure out she uses red, black, and white alot. It is a fabulous color combo, very elegant. It is one I will be using more often. I used my new Verve set Party Time, sponged the main panel, paper pieced the balloons, added some stiching, and of course the sentiemnt circle. The sentiment is from the new Verve set Enjoy. I added the tiny pearls to give it a little more flare. I luv adding details, I notice the details first off when gazing cards. I hope you enjoy your Sunday afternoon. This is for Taylor's Sketch Challenge TESC79 too. Don't forget my blog candy, it's for fabulous Prism paper.

Well, it's the final day of the Mojo100 Celebration, whew...seven sketches this week. Have any of you completed them all to date? For my final card this week, it is once again a Christmas card...hehehe. Mary's sketch really put me to work, but I am very happy with how the little squares turned out. I added some sponging to the little squares to give them a warm and cozy feel. I added Kaiser Craft pearls to the snowflakes on the Christmas ball and the added ribbon with a button and twine. This SU dp is from last year, I have been hording this years just a tad. I used Prism card stock, speaking of Prism did you know Jamie from Prism is letting me give away Prism card stock, to enter for your chance to win go here. Praying For You

This is for toady's IC194, we had to draw our inspiration from this colorful website called Pylones. I choose the bottle here to draw my inspiration; my card is not what I planned, but I did start with the bottle....lol. I wanted to use my new Verve background stamps, wow....they are fabulous. Perfect size and you can easily jazz up a piece of card stock in no time at all. I use my new flower set from Verve called Budding Blossoms. I colored it with my copics and then took a glitter pen and went over the blossoms. I added the ribbon, button to the side and the sentiment. The dp is from the new SU Thourougly Modern, this has got be the most beautiful combo of colors and prints...wow...gorgeous! This also fits Sharon's challenge to use polka dots ssnotime101 and Beate's WSC94. Enjoy your Satuday evening, it has turned out to be beautiful here in VA.

Good morning everyone, it is cooler here in VA, perfect for today's card. I used he Sweet 'n Sassy digi called Leave Me Smiling. I colored him with copics and sponged the outside of the main image. I am not sure about the Martha Stewart pumpkin punch or it may be the stickles I had to add, something isn't working for me....lol......we are our own worst critic, aren't we? All solid color papers are Prism, I have blog candy for Prism paper so be sure to check that out. I hope you have time to play with us at Sweet Stop, be sure to check out the others creations and show some luv. Enjoy your day! I have two blog giveaways be sure to refresh to enter both of those.

Mojo100 Celebration, sketch by Me Again

Good morning, I am so very happy to be bringing you another one of my sketch designs, this one was a little more tricky. If you don't already know we are having a Mojo100 Celebration...yeah! Everyday this week we are bringing you a sketch.
I am giving away another free Verve stamp set it is called Enjoy. All you have to do is leave a comment and I will us random.org to pick the winner. Your chance to win will end on August 23 at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.
Wednesday Blog Candy is now closed and we have a winner, Lynn, Confessions of A Left Brain Stamper. Thank to all who commented and don't forget to comment today I am giving away the cute Verve set Enjoy....the flower can be turned upside down to stamp a butterfly, so cute!

Today's card is not a Winter/Christmas card, you gals that are not ready for Christmas will be glad. I have used most of the sketches this week to make some Christmas cards, I like to think ahead. I used the flourish from the Verve set Kindred Spirit and heat embossed. I can be a perfectionist, sometimes it will drive me crazy trying to get it perfectly center or placed, so I let myself of the hook by purposely placing things off center. I have placed everything in this card off a bit, I like things asymmetrical. I added the bling in curvy sweep to give the card motion. Enjoy your day and your time creating! Be sure to go to the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog and check out the other mojo makers creations!
I have another blog candy give away going on, it is for Prism paper, to enter go here or refresh the page to get to the top of my blog.

You've Got Style

This is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC31, speaking of Karen Giron she is the one who designed my blog banner and title banners, she really done an awesome job. If you are interested in her hooking you up with your personal blog banner you can email her from her blog here . I used a new Verve for this card, I just luv this little purse; the set is called Express Yourself. this card also meets the requirments for today's WT232, to use something fuzzy. I used flower soft on the purse polka dots, soooo cute. I am using this for my submission to The Pink Elephant Challenge TPE28, to use a summer theme. I am so lacking in the summer stamp theme, but when I think of summer I think of vacation and shopping. While away last weekend on our motorcycle getaway dh bought me a cute black, sleek purse; so there you go that's summer for me.

Mojo100 Celebration, sketch by Sarah

It's day four of the Mojo Celebration and I am luvin the mojo makers sketches, aren't you? I cannot believe that the only stamping on this card is the sentiment tag. I do not bleieve I have ever made a card that had so little stamping. I luv the old time rustic feel that this snowflake card has. I punched out the snowflake three times using the SU snowflake punch and popped it up on demensional glue dots. I did alot of sewing and distressing, added the ribbon, the button with the tag and a little sponging. I hope that you can make time to play with us this week. I have another sketch tomorrow and another Verve set to give away, enjoy your day! If you load to an on line gallery use the keyword MojoSarah and don't forget to check out the other mojo makers creations here!

Trust In The Lord

I created this for Taylor's Sketch Challenge from last Friday TESC78. I used Sweet 'N Sassy sets for this one, I stamped Dream Silhouettes off one time and then stamped the scripture in black on top. I used SU Cottage Wall dp, this dp is gorgeous. The bottom panel is the new SU embossing folder Elegant Bouquet on white card stock and then I sponged over it with SU Rich Razzleberry ink, I really like the way it turned out. I added black ribbon with a light lilac button, and I punched out butterfly. DH and I went away on a motorcycle getaway this past weekend to Pennsylvania, we went to York to the Harley Davidson Factory and to Lancaster to the Sight and Sound Theater, we had a wonderful time. The picture of the Lion and The Lamb was taken outside the theater, isn't it a beautiful site?

My dh is truly my biggest fan, I love that; he always makes sure I get to go to a stamping/craft store. I went to a ACMoore, it was my first time to visit an ACMoore, I like it better than Michael's. The one I visited was great, lots of stuff I can't find at Michael's. That's where I picked up these buttons, they are soooo cute, they are called Bag-O-Buttons. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your evening!
