Hello Friend

I have created this card using today's IC267, I used 0322 from the third set of photos has my inspiration.  The colors are green, blue, and brown.  I also wanted to honor a new friend, one of the greatest perks to our paper crafting is meeting the best of friends!  The other week when my friends and I set out in pursuit of a Hobby Lobby, which is about 1 hour and 1/2 from us.  The area that the HL was in is full of fantastic shopping.  We discovered a scrap booking store, that is totally amazing!  The gal who works in there is a SCS gal, can you believe it?  It is Dawn aka stampinscotsgirl, we had chatted briefly on a forum but that has been a while ago.  I really liked her from the start, she has this amazing accent, and is super talented!  I wanted to honor her by casing one of her sweet cards and this is my end result.  That is all for now......enjoy!

Hello Friend

I am sharing a CAS card today, I used the Clean & Simple sketch from last week, FTL122 and The Color Throwdown Color, CTD124.  The main thing I want to share with you today is a way you can lift the spirits of a fellow stamper Katie Renz,   you can read all about her story on her blog.  The CTD is inviting you to send Katie a card as she is fighting cancer, you can read more about it over at The Color Throwdown Blog.  If you would like to send Katie a card, I have included her address for you.

I used the Verve stamp Happy Hello, this is a great little set for sending a hi there or hello cards.   I use this set so often for a quick little note.  I embossed the bottom part, used a border die, added a butterfly and the tag sentiment.  Super quick and very sweet.  The dh and I are headed to our church motorcycle dinner tonight, if you can't ride you might as well eat...lol.  We will be learning of our trips for the year...woohoo!  I can't wait until riding weather, we did not get much riding in last year because of the dh's surgery....but all is good now...Praise the Lord!  Make the most of your weekend....enjoy!

VIva la Verve-Precious Memories

Happy Friday friends, I am sharing with you my card for this weeks Viva la Verve.  Tosh is hosting this weeks VLV, be sure to get all the deets here and play along.  What a great sketch to work with, I needed a sympathy card for a family that plays music, so I thought the piece of sheet music would be perfect.  I added wide May Arts chocolate trim, an ivory trim, bakers twine, and a wonderful star embellishment.  I sponged the main sentiment panel and layered it for more depth.  Stitching and curling the edge of the sheet music finishes my card.  Hope you have a great weekend planned, be sure to make time to create...enjoy!
